About US

We believe that supporting a participant means to also support their family and carers. As Mother to a person with a disability, Nikki has over 30 years of lived experience of seeking support and assistance from medical, disability, educational and judicial/corrections professionals.

“The lows may be low but the highs are outstanding!” Nikki says of her journey with her son.

Nikki has worked extensively in the alternative dispute resolution space in government. As well as working on matters before the Equal Opportunity Commission and Human Rights Commission. Nikki has also worked as the Operations Manager of a small disability support provider and generated many new initiatives such as a program for mature, disabled adults and meal planning and budgeting program prior to commencing as a Support Coordinator in 2023.

The aim of Sync Navigation is to support participants and their families so they don’t feel they are continuously have to fight for their loved one; for funding, services and dignity.

Nikki has 30+ years lived experience as a parent of a child (now adult) with a challenging intellectual disability. Nikki’s experiences include challenging those obstacles which arise throughout the education for children with challenging behaviours, supported independent living from 16yo, mental health and the justice system. Nikki is a holistic support coordinator looking not just at the person on the NDIS but the functioning of the family as a whole.

Nikki’s experiences also include the Board Chair of the Northern Carer’s Network and Chairperson of the Governing Council at her son’s government special school. Nikki has worked on the ground as a support worker and in a managerial role for a disability support provider.

She has now turned her attention to the world of support coordination and seeks to get the best of value from NDIS funding to serve the best interests of the participants.

Additionally, Nikki has a double degree in Commerce and Law, and spent 11 years working for the Education Department in a quasi-legal complaint resolution role in both the Feedback Unit and the Ethical Conduct Unit. Roles included presenting matters before the Equal Opportunity Commission and the Human Rights Commission. Nikki has supplemented legal training with alternative dispute resolution, using mediation and conciliation methods to engage people and resolve disputes.

  • I am a girl Mum to two beautiful kids and a supportive sister to two brothers, one of whom has FoxP1 Syndrome. Growing up in a community where families come together to support one another through the challenges of disability has profoundly shaped my perspective. I have a background working with SA Ambulance and the State Emergency Service.

I am a certified Child and Youth Worker with hands-on experience in Residential Care with the Department of Child Protection and Hendercare. This background has instilled in me a compassionate and patient approach, emphasizing the importance of supporting and empowering individuals towards independence.

My aspiration is to establish a hobby farm that provides meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities and those who are vulnerable. I am known for my bubbly, compassionate, and gentle nature, and I am committed to making a positive impact in every aspect of my life and work.

  • I am a dedicated mother of four and have been with my partner for 19 years. With 14 years of experience working in the education sector as an SSO in a special school, I’ve had the privilege of supporting countless students with diverse needs. For 10 of those years, I also served as the Director of the school’s holiday program—a role I loved, as it allowed me to build meaningful relationships with children and their families.

In 2023, I made the decision to pursue a new direction that better balanced my family life. This led me to support coordination, where I discovered a renewed passion for helping people with disabilities access the right supports and advocating strongly for families.

I bring more than 30 years of lived experience to my work. My younger sister has multiple disabilities and complex health needs, which has shaped my understanding and empathy from a young age. Two of my children are also on the NDIS, giving me insight from multiple perspectives—mother, sibling, and support worker. This unique combination of personal and professional experience helps me navigate the system with compassion, clarity, and genuine commitment to each family I support.
